Assisting Suicide

A new clarification has been given to the law about helping someone to commit suicide, there has been a number of factors given, which will be considered when dealing with each case, i.e. if the accomplice was acting out of compassion or for their own gain (financially etc).

This all came under the microscope following Debbie Purdy who suffered from multiple sclerosis, actually enquired as to the implications for her husband if he was to help her go to switzerland and commit suicide.

Back in July it was ruled she had the right to know if her husband was to be prosecuted.
